WCBT Tour Finals Play-In Event

(Monday following the 2026 Heritage Traditional)

Eligibility:

  • Open to players ranked 13th–40th in the WCBT season standings.

  • Top 4 finishers earn a spot in the 16-player Tour Finals field.

Format Overview:

  1. Qualifying Round

    • All eligible players bowl 6 games of qualifying.​

    • Pinfall totals determine standings.

    • Top 16 players advance to the Pod Round.

  2. Pod Round (Round Robin)

    • 16 players split into two pods of 8, seeded by qualifying finish (1st → Pod A, 2nd → Pod B, etc. snake format).​

    • Each player bowls a 7-game round robin within their pod.

    • Standard WCBT match play scoring (win = bonus points) can be used to reward head-to-head performance.

    • Top 4 players from each pod advance to the Survivor Round.

  3. Survivor Round (8 Players → 4 Qualifiers)​

    • 8 players bowl in a survivor-style format:​

      • After each game, the lowest combined score in this round is eliminated​

      • Scores are cumulative across games, so consistent performance is rewarded.

    • Play continues until 4 players remain.

    • The surviving 4 players advance into the Tour Finals main field (spots 13–16).

    • Final 4 moving onto to compete at the Tour Championship, Thursday before next season's Beef Bowl
